Executive Summary for Users, Auditors & Regulators
AffiScope is built on a 100% Client-Side Local Execution Architecture. We do not collect, harvest, transmit, store, monetize, or broker your browsing history, visited web addresses, analyzed HTML content, draft articles, or personal data. All Document Object Model (DOM) parsing, anchor tag classification, and FTC coordinate audits execute entirely in your computer's local browser memory.
01. Chrome Web Store User Data & Limited Use Disclosure
AffiScope complies strictly with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the User Data FAQ and Limited Use requirements:
- Minimal Permission Scope: AffiScope requests only the narrowest browser permissions strictly required to perform real-time visual DOM inspections on active tabs.
- No Remote Data Transfer: AffiScope does not transmit, transfer, or upload your web browsing content or inspected DOM nodes to external servers, cloud databases, advertising exchanges, or data brokers.
- No AI/ML Model Training on User Data: AffiScope does not use your page contents, URLs, or editorial drafts for machine learning training, LLM fine-tuning, or human review.
- No Credit or Lending Usage: No data analyzed by AffiScope is ever used for creditworthiness, lending, employment, or advertising targeting purposes.
02. Technical Execution: 100% Local Browser DOM Processing
When you invoke AffiScope on an active web page:
- Local DOM Traversal: The extension script reads the active document's HTML tree in volatile browser memory to identify anchor tags (
<a href="...">),relattributes, and disclosure blocks. - On-Device Regular Expression Engine: URLs are evaluated client-side against local pattern sets matching 12+ major affiliate network identifiers (including Amazon Associates, Impact, CJ, ShareASale, Rakuten, Awin, Walmart, Target, and Skimlinks).
- Geometric Coordinate Offset: AffiScope calculates the vertical viewport offset (Y-axis pixels) between FTC disclosure nodes and the first commercial link to verify compliance with FTC § 255.5 prominence guidelines.
- Direct Headless Link Ping (Optional Pro Feature): Non-blocking background HTTP HEAD requests test outbound affiliate URLs for 404 Dog Pages directly from your browser client. These connections do not route through any intermediary proxy servers operated by Dreainno.
03. Information We Explicitly Do NOT Collect
To provide unambiguous legal certainty, AffiScope does NOT collect, store, log, or transmit:
04. Pro License Billing & Merchant of Record (Lemon Squeezy)
For users purchasing an AffiScope Pro license ($19.99/year), transaction processing is conducted exclusively through our authorized Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, LLC:
- Payment & Tax Handling: Lemon Squeezy handles order processing, card tokenization under PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance, global VAT/sales tax remittances, and customer billing inquiries. Dreainno does not receive or store payment card numbers.
- License Verification: During license activation, the extension sends a TLS-encrypted request directly to Lemon Squeezy's verification API endpoint to confirm active subscription entitlement. Validated status tokens are stored locally on your device with a resilient 48-hour offline flight-mode cache.
05. Manifest V3 Permissions Transparency
AffiScope requests strictly scoped Manifest V3 permissions:
Grants temporary access to inspect the active browser tab when you click or run the extension. Does not allow background tracking of unopened or background tabs.
Stores user settings, daily scan counters (for free tier), and cached Pro license validation tokens locally in chrome.storage.local.
06. GDPR, UK GDPR & California CCPA/CPRA Compliance
Because AffiScope does not store or process personal data on external servers:
- No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell or share personal data as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
- Right to Erasure & Portability: Uninstalling the extension from your browser instantly deletes all locally cached settings and audit histories from your computer.
- Data Subject Requests: For billing records, users may access their invoices and manage subscriber data directly via Lemon Squeezy's customer portal.
07. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to maintain alignment with browser policy revisions or statutory updates. Any changes will be published immediately at affiscope.website/privacy.html with an updated effective date.
